Introduction

Facebook Business Suite

Facebook Business Suite - now known as Meta Business Suite- is a powerful management platform that allows you to manage your eCommerce business across Instagram and Facebook. With its arsenal of tools, this platform is designed to make it easier for small businesses to manage their online presence.

This article will refer to the platform as Facebook Business Suite rather than the new name.

This short comprehensive guide will go over the platform and some of the tools. By the end, you should have a solid foundational understanding of the platform, which you can then utilize to expand your online business and improve your marketing effort.

Without further ado, let's get started.

Facebook Business Suite: What Is It?

As mentioned at the beginning, Facebook Business Suite is a free tool that centralizes Facebook, Instagram, and messaging tools in one place, allowing you to save time, create connections, and obtain better results. You can even manage them on your iOS or Android phone!

Here are a few examples of what you can do with the platform:

  • Post across platforms.
  • Track insights and trends.
  • Post across platforms.
  • Create ads.

If you're interested in finding out more about what the platform can do, check out this Facebook page.

It's essential to keep in mind that Facebook Business Suite and Business Manager are two different tools. However, you only need to know that the former has the same functions as the latter, plus much more! If you want to switch back to Facebook Business Manager, we recommend checking out this link.

Facebook Business Suite: Getting Started

If you are on your desktop and already have a Facebook Business Manager account, you will be redirected automatically to the Business Suite. Facebook recommends connecting your Instagram page to your Facebook account before getting started.

Here are the steps:

  1. Open your Facebook Page.
  2. Select Settings from the left menu.
  3. Select Instagram.
  4. To add an Instagram account to your Page, select Connect Account.
  1. Ensure the Allow access to Instagram messages in Inbox is toggled on and then click Continue.
  1. Enter your Instagram account's Username and Password, and select Log in.

That's it! To remove an Instagram account, select Disconnect and confirm that you would like to remove the Instagram account.

Facebook Business Suite: Interface

Now that you have everything set up, it's time to go over the interface to take full advantage of the platform! On top is the Facebook Business Suite interface for a newly created Facebook page called Sloth Investment.

In this section, I will be going over some of the different options in the sidebar and what you'll find in each one. So, let's begin!

Home

You'll see an overview of your Facebook and Instagram pages on the homepage. Here you can create ads, promote your business or gather insights. Activities overview and insights are on the right side of the screen, displaying data on engagement trends and audience insights. You can see your content calendar, audience growth, and recent ads down the middle.

Inbox

You can review and respond to all your messages and comments from Instagram and Facebook in the Inbox tab. The platform has it all in one place!

You can also create automated responses to help nurture your visitors and make them feel welcome. According to Facebook, this feature can help you stay organized, reach more potential customers, and build strong relationships with people who interact with your business's Facebook Page and Instagram account. If you wish to do so, start off by clicking on Automated Responses, located in the top right corner.

As you can see below, there is so much you can do; Facebook even has a list of suggested auto-responses. Choose the type of autoresponder you want and fill in the appropriate message and any other settings you'd like to add. Have fun with this!

Posts & Stories

The next tab is Posts & Stories. In this section, you can create, publish, and schedule new posts to your Facebook page and/or Instagram feed. You can also get a detailed view of the insights for each post you publish. All you have to do is click on Create Post in the top right corner.

Afterward, you will see a window pop-up where you can compose your post. You can type out your post's message, add a photo or video, and set up a location for your post. Once done, you can either publish it later or now.

The window should look something like the one below, designed to be intuitive. Remember to add a call-to-action for your Facebook post!

Insights

In the Insight tab, you can get an overview of your business's performance, which ‌includes a summary of your reach, audience stats, recent post-performance, and Instagram insights.

If you click on Results, an overview of your reach for connected Facebook Pages and your Instagram profiles will show.

If you click on Content next, you will get a list of your posts and performance data, such as your likes, comments, and shares.

Lastly, if you click on Audience, you will get a breakdown of your current audience demographics and a snapshot of your potential audience.

More Tools

Of course, there are many more tools that the platform offers that we haven't discussed. You can access them by clicking on All Tools on the drop-down menu located on the left side. Here you can see the many tools separated into different categories such as Advertise, Engage customers, Manage business, etc.

We highly recommend checking out each one individually to help you familiarize yourself with the platform. If you've used other Facebook tools other than Business Suite, some of these features might look familiar to you, such as Audience, Ads Manager, and Events Manager.

Facebook Business Suite: Benefits

Time Saver

As you can probably guess, using Facebook Business Suite can save you lots of time by allowing you to work on 2 of the most popular social media channels simultaneously. We can all agree that it's frustrating to be switching between platforms every time we want to post, right? With Facebook Business Suite's interface, you can see all your social media alerts and activities.

Furthermore, all authorized administrators of a Facebook Business page can use the platform to work simultaneously. You can even schedule posts for a future date while focusing on more important issues!

More Control

By having control over every aspect of your marketing campaigns and social media accounts in one place, you can deal with any issues that may arise, such as customers' doubts and questions. You can quickly improve your customers' experience and service. This is critical since poor service and/or experience can hurt your business.

Furthermore, much like the last benefit, we would argue that it's nice to have everything in one place!

Facebook Business Suite: Conclusion

We hope this short blog post has convinced you of the usefulness of the Facebook Business Suite - a tool that offers marketers and business owners an overview of their Facebook and Instagram presences. It acts as an all-in-one marketing tool for all your marketing needs!

Keep in mind that the Business Suite is still relatively new, which means more updates are set to come out. However, right now wouldn't be a bad time to set up your account and familiarize yourself with the platform to take advantage of future updates.

We wish you the best of luck. Keep an eye on our blog to read more marketing posts like this!
